Hi, I'm Krista and this is Bobbi Biscuit!

We are the team behind GypsySol. Thank you so much for checking out my macrame! A little about me - I was born and raised in Michigan and live on Oahu now. I moved here in 2003 with my sister after college (Shout out to my BFF Elsa). We bought a one way ticket and armed with a little bit of money, a strong and youthful adventurous spirit...no job...and no place to live we landed on Oahu for a "6 month adventure." I'm now significantly older and have been here on Oahu for most of my adult life with some cameos in WA, NY and Michigan along the way. I've moved a lot...(think 30+ times) and I'm oddly one of those people that loves it! I love change and adore a fresh start. Hence the name GypsySol. Insert Sol instead of soul cause I like the sun. :)

Don't Stop Until You're Proud

To be honest GypsySol was born out of hard times. Most people don't know that I lost my dream job when Covid hit. I was set to start training as a flight attendant and sadly training got cancelled. Shortly after, I was laid off from my bartending job as well. Macrame was something that I had always wanted to learn and I found myself with A LOT of free time. What started as one little beginner wall hanging turned into something so much more! I had somewhere to channel my uncertainty and anxious thoughts. Something to dream about and create the next morning when I woke up. GypsySol became a crazy silver lining that I never saw coming but I'm so happy it's here!! It makes me feel so proud to see something that I made. I love the endless learning as well as the inspiration you can find from macrame artists in this community from all over the world! Whatever makes your soul happy I encourage you to pursue that, no matter what it is.
